Staggering about Heathrow this morning at six waving our Italian passports about after what felt like six weeks in the air eating seared salmon and struggling not to sob over The Sound of Music as everyone around us snored

So, so happy for you and Bethseda. Wishing you both all joy in your new life. Hope we see some photos on Insta or FB – hint. Love Bethseda’s new fairy room. I still pine for England every day and so delight in knowing you are both having splendid adventures over the moon. xx

Hello, beauty! Thank you for your lovely wishes. The past nine months have been madness – we planned to relocate in 2015, but there were a few administrative hurdles; the path only started clearing around January this year. Packing up a 30+ year library (literally thousands of books – you know the drill) and life was one of the most stressful and exhausting things I’ve ever done. The more books I packed, the more there seemed to be. It was like a kind of nightmare. Books everywhere – on the tables, chairs, floor. And the boxes – dozens of them – taking over the house. This went on for months. In addition to working. And homeschooling. We were so dazed on our arrival yesterday, staring out of the car at the autumn and the rolling mists. And then this great peace settled over us. All the chaos and junk were history. An amazing clarity. I’ll be back on Insta w/in the week – I haven’t had a mobile, but picked up my new one yesterday; I’ve missed it (and your adventures) terribly. Also, some madly exciting work news – but not just yet! xxx
